Chris C.

Chris C. has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Chris started their career at CNA Insurance as an Associate Actuary, where they focused on pricing Personal Auto and Homeowners insurance. Chris also played a role in establishing the Classic Auto program.

After CNA Insurance, Chris worked at Accident Fund Insurance Company of America as an Actuarial Analyst and Team Lead, Actuarial Manager, and Actuarial Predictive Modeling Coordinator.

In 2008, Chris joined Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Company as Chief Actuary, where they created the company's first actuarial department and introduced Commercial lines rating. Chris later became Vice President and Chief Actuary, leading the actuarial department in improving company profitability and expanding ratemaking sophistication.

Chris served on the Board of Directors for Michigan Basic Property Insurance Association and held the position of Chair from 2013 to 2015. Chris also represented Pioneer State Mutual on the board of the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association.

In 2015, Chris became a Trade Organization Representative for Pioneer State Mutual at the Insurance Alliance of Michigan. Chris later served as Chair of the Board of Directors, leading hiring efforts for the Executive Director.

Additionally, Chris served as an Applied Mathematics Advisory Board Member at Kettering University from 2012 to 2014.

Chris C. began their education at Kellogg Community College, where they earned an Associate degree between 1992 and 1994. After that, Chris C. pursued their education further by attending the University of Chicago from 1996 to 1997, where they earned a Master's degree in Statistics.
