Catherine Ratte is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in land use, environment, and community development. Since October 1998, Catherine has served as the Land Use & Environment Department Director and Principal Planner/Manager at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, overseeing regional sustainability efforts and advancing racial equity. Previously, Catherine held roles at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as the Pedestrian/Bicycle Safety Program Manager, contributing to the development of safety plans and grant administration. Experience also includes positions at the United States Peace Corps in Cameroon as a Master Trainer/Assistant Director and Community Development facilitator. Catherine's foundational work began as the Education Coordinator for the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault, where programming and new crisis centers were established. Catherine holds an MS in Urban and Regional Planning and Social Work from the University of Wisconsin and a BA in Literature and Society from Brown University.
