Jana Gurbanova

Jana Gurbanova has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering. Jana started their career as a Technical Specialist at Top Connect in 2012, where they handled route configuration, statistics collection, system work control, and resolved technical issues efficiently.

In 2014, Jana joined Swedbank as a Software Test Analyst, ensuring data quality in their pan-Baltic data warehouse through manual test case design and execution of automated unit tests. Jana then transitioned to the role of System Analyst, where they were responsible for ETL processes, external/internal legal and private persons loadings, and actively participated in projects like KRITA, GDPR, and Anacredit.

Continuing their journey at Swedbank, Jana became a Data Engineer in 2019. In this role, they developed ETL pipelines and maintained Swedbank's Analytics platform, contributing primarily to the Party area. Jana also worked on the AML project and had exposure to various areas such as Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Information Management, and Data Integration.

Later on, Jana undertook the combined role of Scrum Master and Data Engineer at Swedbank, beginning in early 2021. In addition to their software engineering tasks, they coached, supported, and coordinated a culturally diverse team of 20 engineers, while also delivering high-performing streaming data solutions.

Most recently, in 2021, Jana joined Pipedrive as a Data Engineer, where they continue to apply their expertise and contribute to the company's data engineering initiatives.

Jana Gurbanova obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology between 2010 and 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology at the same institution from 2013 to 2014.

In terms of additional certifications, Jana obtained the following:

1. Learning Python with PyCharm from LinkedIn in August 2021.

2. How to Make Strategic Thinking a Habit from LinkedIn in March 2021.

3. Teradata - Advanced SQL from Teradata in December 2020.
