Philip Jean, MBA, MLNHA, CNHA, FACHCA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Philip is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Piper Shores, where they provide leadership and strategic direction for Maine's first nonprofit lifecare retirement community. Prior to this, Philip worked at Erickson Senior Living as the Executive Director/Vice President and the Associate Executive Director. At Harmony Healthcare International, they held the position of Vice President of Administrative Operations/Strategic Partnerships, where they provided operational consulting and regulatory expertise to post-acute providers and developed strategic partnerships. Philip also served as the Vice President Elder Care Services at St. Mary's Health System, overseeing elder care divisions and supervising food service operations. Before that, they worked at North Country Associates as the Facility Operations Manager/Vice President of Operations and at Maine Veterans' Homes as the Administrator/Chief Operations Officer.
Philip Jean received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maine in 1992. Philip then went on to earn their Master of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Husson University between the years 1994 and 1997.
In addition to their academic degrees, Philip Jean has obtained several certifications in their field. In 1996, they became a Multi-Level Licensed Administrator through the Maine Department of Health & Human Services. In 2001, they earned the designation of Certified Nursing Home Administrator from The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). In 2016, they became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator through the Massachusetts Department of Health & Human Services. Most recently, in 2018, they achieved the title of Health Services Executive, Qualified, from the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards.
