Taylor Shain

Taylor Shain has extensive experience in therapeutic recreation and child care. Currently serving as a Recreation Therapist, Recreation Assistant, and previously as a Recreation Therapy Intern at Piper Shores since May 2018, Taylor has developed a strong background in designing and implementing recreational programs. Prior experience includes working as a Nanny for a private family from December 2015 to May 2018, where responsibilities included child care, household duties, and ensuring safety. Taylor gained additional experience in therapeutic recreation during a clinical fieldwork at Carriage Hill Assisted Living in late 2017, where therapeutic activities were assessed and facilitated for residents. A practicum at the Federal Medical Center at Devens involved working with a Recreation Therapist in a mental health unit, emphasizing communication and teamwork. Early work experience also includes customer service at Beyond Vanilla Ice Cream Parlor. Taylor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of New Hampshire (2014-2018) and completed secondary education at Central Catholic High School (2010-2014).
