Freddy Calderon Vela

Freddy Calderon Vela is a Junior Geotechnical Engineer II at Piteau Associates Engineering since December 2019, specializing in geotechnical analysis of rock slopes, foundation investigations, and risk assessments for rock falls and avalanches in both 2D and 3D. Previously, Freddy held positions as a greenfield exploration intern at Vale, where responsibilities included evaluating porphyry and epithermal deposits, and as a geology intern at Mina Casapalca, focusing on structural mapping of faults. Freddy's experience also includes teaching basic science subjects and providing academic support as a private tutor. Additionally, Freddy interned at INGEMMET, handling macroscopic and microscopic descriptions of mineral samples for various geological projects. Education was completed at the National University of Engineering from 2013 to 2018.
