Amanda Waltz is an experienced journalist and editor with a strong focus on the arts, entertainment, and local culture. Currently serving as the Arts and Entertainment Editor at Pittsburgh City Paper since August 2018, Amanda previously founded and edited Steel Cinema, a blog dedicated to Pittsburgh film culture. Additional roles include Business and Tech Editor at NEXTpittsburgh and National Scholarships Advisor at the University of Pittsburgh. With a solid foundation in technical expertise as a Technical Specialist & Audio Engineer at Philips Respironics and contributions to various film and arts publications, Amanda's career is marked by a blend of editorial leadership and a commitment to promoting local events and stories. Amanda holds a MA in Arts Journalism from Syracuse University and a BA in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
