Andrew Bloomgarden

Andrew Bloomgarden is an accomplished Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, specializing in Ads Safety since June 2022 after serving in Site Reliability for complex Ads products. With prior experience as Principal Engineer at Amazon Web Services, Andrew contributed significantly to open-source observability services. Before AWS, a decade at New Relic, Inc. encompassed roles from Senior Principal Software Engineer to Software Engineer, with notable achievements in cloud migration and enhancements of the NRDB backend database. In addition to technical expertise, Andrew is an active chorister with organizations such as Pittsburgh Opera and The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, and serves on the Pennsylvania Area Committee for the American Guild of Musical Artists. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Japanese from Dartmouth College.
