Amy Silbermann, AICP has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Amy is currently working at Pittsburgh Regional Transit as the Chief Development Officer. Before this role, they served as the Deputy Chief Planning Officer and the Director of Planning & Service Development at the same organization.
Prior to their time at Pittsburgh Regional Transit, Amy worked at Port Authority of Allegheny County, where they held various positions, including Director of Planning, Manager of Data & Evaluation, Senior Analyst, and Data Analyst.
Amy also gained experience as a Sustainability Intern at Allegheny County Department of Human Services and as a Science Teacher at Roosvelt Senior High School in District of Columbia Public Schools.
Amy Silbermann, AICP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Denison University, which they obtained in 2008. Amy then pursued a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from American University from 2008 to 2010. Later, they completed their Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University between 2011 and 2013. Amy Silbermann has also received certifications, including AICP Certified from the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2017 and LEED AP O+M from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2013.
