Ricky Thai

Ricky Thai is a Software Engineer at Opener since March 2021, with prior experience as a Junior Software Engineer at ITTIA, where Ricky built a web-based dashboard application using Vue.js. Ricky also interned at Spetcial, Inc., contributing to front-end development with React and creating an embedding feature for pet shelters. As a mentor for the AppJam+ program at Dreams for Schools, Ricky guided students in developing an educational mobile game, leading to a showcase win. Ricky's early experience includes teaching piano and music theory as a Student Teacher at Marr Piano Studio. Ricky holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Irvine, earned in 2020, and completed high school at KIPP San Jose Collegiate in 2016.
