Lindsey Markel

Lindsey Markel has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Lindsey started their career as a Writing Tutor at the Monmouth College Writing Center from August 2003 to December 2005. From October 2006 to April 2007, they worked as an Editorial Assistant at the Journal of Education Finance.

In May 2007, Lindsey joined the University of Illinois as an Editorial/Administrative Assistant. Their responsibilities included copy editing a book, managing manuscript submissions, and providing administrative support. Lindsey stayed at the University until April 2008.

Following their time at the University of Illinois, Lindsey worked as a Receptionist at Volition from April 2008 to August 2010.

In August 2010, Lindsey joined Wolfram Research as a Copy Editor. Their duties included proofreading and copy editing online technical and marketing material. Lindsey also worked on maintaining house style in content and web design. Lindsey left Wolfram Research in October 2012.

Lindsey Markel has a diverse education history. Lindsey obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Lesley University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, in 2009, they attended the University of Iowa for Creative Writing, although they did not complete a degree during that time. Lindsey Markel completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Monmouth College between 2003 and 2006. Before attending Monmouth College, they also studied at Parkland College from 2002 to 2006, where they focused on Women's Studies, English, and Theatre. Additionally, Lindsey Markel obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance in December 2020.
