Yinghua Wu

Yinghua Wu is a seasoned professional in data science and quantitative research, currently serving as Sr. Lead Data Scientist at PJM Interconnection since January 2022, focusing on machine learning to reduce electricity costs for consumers. Prior experience includes working as a Quantitative Researcher at Elmagin Capital LLC, where research centered on statistical arbitrage and trading strategies. Yinghua has a strong academic background, with a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Yale University and a B.S. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China. Previous roles include Senior Research Investigator at the University of Pennsylvania, where design and development of statistical analysis pipelines were key contributions, and various postdoctoral positions involving algorithm development and theoretical proofs related to quantum mechanics and statistical methods.
