Tonya Carter

Tonya Carter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community health and education. As the Founder of The Carter Education & Community Foundation since February 2021, Tonya has been instrumental in establishing a scholarship and programming foundation. Concurrently, roles as a Consultant with C&C Empowerment Group and Educational Coordinator with the PKD Foundation highlight Tonya's diverse expertise. Tonya has served as a Certified Community Health Worker since October 2018, bridging health services and community needs. Previous experience includes significant positions such as Community Engagement Consultant and Case Management Coordinator at Community HealthNet Health Centers, Director at Covering Kids & Families of Indiana, and Nutrition Education Program Coordinator at Purdue University. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Illinois State University.
