Catherine Desmond has over 20 years of experience in the field of tax consulting and private client services. Catherine started their career as a Tax Consultant with Grant Thornton, where they worked from 1997 to 2001. Catherine then joined PKF (UK) LLP as a PA to Tax Partners, where they were responsible for tax planning assignments and dealing with employee benefits issues. In 2003, they moved to Saffery Champness as a Partner, leading the tax team in the Manchester office and providing a wide range of advice to clients. Catherine became a partner in the firm in 2013. Currently, Catherine is Partner (Head of Private Client and Landed Estates) at PKF Smith Cooper, where they specialize in private client services and provides proactive and joined-up advice to clients, including entrepreneurs and owners of landed estates.
Catherine Desmond completed their LLB in Law from Nottingham Trent University from 1992 to 1995. Catherine also obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice from Nottingham Law School, although no specific start and end years were provided for this qualification.
