Mark Thompson (Beams)

Mark "Beams" Thompson has an extensive work experience in the field of aviation. Mark "Beams" has held multiple leadership positions, including Deputy Group Commander and Chief F-15SG Instructor/Evaluator Pilot. Mark has been responsible for various aspects of operational testing, personnel management, and fiscal allocations. Mark "Beams" has also served as a Director of Operations and a Director of Test for different aircraft models, such as F-22 and F-35. In addition, Mark has served as a Chief of Weapons and Tactics and an Instructor Pilot for the F-15E. Mark "Beams" retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of active duty service.

In 1985, they attended Louisiana State University, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Mark "Beams" then transferred to the United States Air Force Academy in 1986 and completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from 1986 to 1990.

After completing their undergraduate degree, they attended the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Master's degree in Aerospace Sciences.
