Yang Zhao

Yang Zhao is an experienced engineering manager with a background in site reliability engineering and DevOps. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Plaid since March 2021, Yang Zhao has previously held similar managerial roles at Cruise from June 2018 to January 2021, where responsibilities included technical leadership in site reliability. Prior to this, Yang Zhao worked at Pocket Gems from June 2013 to April 2018 as a Lead DevOps Engineer, focusing on automated testing frameworks and Jira administration. Yang Zhao's career also includes a role as a Computational Chemist Intern at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, where tools were created to automate and predict assay results. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Bioengineering - Translational Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Yang Zhao also experienced academia as a Graduate Student Instructor, teaching Biomedical Physiology and Genetic Devices.
