Kai Purnell

Kai Purnell is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in program coordination and research, currently serving as a Program Associate at Plan C Pills and as an Accreditation Coordinator at the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council. Previous roles include serving as a Sexual & Reproductive Health Project Assistant at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where planning and logistical support for clinical meetings were provided. Kai's earlier experience includes positions at ASME and Ambrose Editions, focusing on publishing and marketing, as well as content creation at Benchmark Education Company. A strong academic foundation in Biology was established at Barnard College, where significant research on microbial ecology was completed. Additional research experience includes participation in NC State University's REU program and involvement with the NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault in developing frameworks for the enforcement of the Prison Rape Elimination Act.
