Priya Bhullar

Priya Bhullar is a co-founder of Planboo, a global carbon removal company established in March 2020, focusing on CO2 removal and soil health improvement through biochar. Prior to this role, Priya served as Programme Funding Coordinator at Self Help Africa from November 2018 to February 2021, supporting initiatives to eradicate hunger and poverty in rural Africa. In 2018, Priya was Acting Executive Director at the Rainbo Initiative, overseeing services for survivors of sexual violence in Sierra Leone. Experience also includes various positions at Save the Children International as a Gender-Based Violence Technical Advisor and Programme Development and Quality Officer, and Programme and Development Officer at Spiral Skills Ltd, among others. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Environment & Sustainable Development from UCL and a Bachelor’s degree in English & Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham.
