Jon Powers

Jon Powers is Vice President and General Manager for Planet Federal, a subsidiary of Planet Labs Inc. Jon leads Planet Federal’s sales and operational strategy in working with the US Government. Prior to Planet, Jon was at BMC Software for 8 years where he held multiple executive leadership roles, driving sales teams in both commercial and the federal space. He also led inside and field sales teams at Numara software before being acquired by BMC in 2013. Prior to Numara software, he was an account manager at Datastream before being acquired by ERP provider Infor Global. Jon is a veteran of the US Army, a former Infantry Officer serving multiple different duty stations including Hohenfels, GE and commander at 1/327 Ft Campbell KY, 101^st^ ABN. Jon earned a BS in Business Administration from The Citadel in 1994.
