Matthew Brown

Matthew Brown is a Mechanical Engineer at Planet since October 2022, previously serving as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Boeing from April 2018 to October 2022. At Boeing, Matthew led mechanical design for electronic units related to NASA programs and managed next-generation digital and RF electronics PCB panels. Matthew's extensive experience includes performing various analyses using ANSYS, designing mechanical housings and PCB layouts, drafting engineering drawings, and executing component inspections. Prior roles included R&D Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Medica Corporation, Mechanical Engineering Co-op at OpTerra Energy Services, and Manufacturing Engineering Co-op at DePuy Synthes Companies. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing and Design from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Business Administration minor from Northeastern University.
