Ramesh Nair

Ramesh Nair is a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Planet, with experience dating back to August 2017. Prior to this role, Ramesh was a Graduate Student at Rochester Institute of Technology from August 2014 to May 2017 and completed an internship as a Computer Vision / Deep Learning Intern at Siemens Corporate Research from June 2016 to January 2017. During the internship, Ramesh contributed to the Vision Technology and Solutions Team by developing a weakly-supervised framework for detecting visual anomalies using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), achieving superior performance compared to traditional methods. Ramesh holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering and Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from University of Mumbai and K.J Somaiya College of Engineering, respectively.
