Derek Shipes

Derek Shipes has extensive experience in various roles and companies. Derek is currently the EVP of Strategic Alliances at Planet Technology since 2021. Prior to this, from 2008 to 2021, they held multiple roles at OmniPoint Staffing, part of Planet Technology, including EVP/FSO and Partner and Chief Talent Officer. Derek also worked as a Partner at OmniPoint from 2008 to 2012, exclusively partnering with Workday for their HR, Payroll, Financials, and Worker Spend solutions. Before joining OmniPoint, Derek worked as a Vice President at Capgemini from 2007 to 2008 and at Kanbay International from 2006 to 2007. Derek also served as an Officer at Adjoined Consulting from 2005 to 2006 and as a Partner at Cima Consulting Group from 1997 to 2005. Derek started their career as a Vice President at Johh Alden Life Insurance from 1994 to 1997.

Derek Shipes obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in DIS from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1986 to 1992.
