Marni Helfand

Marni Helfand is currently the Chief HR Officer and General Counsel at Planet Technology. Marni has held this position since November of 2018. Prior to their current role, they served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Integreon from January 2018 to November 2018.

Helfand has also worked with Huron as their Assistant General Counsel from April 2013 to January 2018 and Empire Today as their Sr. Counsel from August 2012 to April 2013. In these positions, they were responsible for managing all litigation, including commercial and employment matters. Helfand also spent a significant amount of time advising Human Resources and business leaders regarding all areas of employment law, including restrictive covenants.

In addition to their experience in the legal field, Helfand also has experience in Human Resources. Marni served as the Associate General Counsel/Sr. Director of Human Resources at Hudson from April 2004 to July 2011. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of Hudson’s human resources function.

Helfand began their career as an Associate at Littler Mendelson in August 2001 before moving on to Levy Restaurants where they served as their Associate General Counsel from July 2011 to August 2012.

Marni Helfand has a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Labor and Industrial Relations.
