Salia S. Sheriff is an experienced environmental health professional with a robust academic background and diverse roles in project management and research. Currently serving as the Planetary Health Campus Ambassador at the Planetary Health Alliance since January 2022, Salia also holds the position of Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Eldoret. Salia has expertise in project coordination through work with Environmental Impact Solution Incorporation, focusing on promoting alternatives in artisanal gold mining and plastic waste management in Liberia. Prior experience includes serving as a Solid Waste Expert/Consultant at HYDROCONSEIL and as a Lab Demonstrator/Technician at the University of Liberia. Salia’s educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in Environmental Health from the University of Eldoret and multiple Master’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Environmental Chemistry from Kenyatta University and the University of Nairobi.
