Fabrice Frere is a Creative Director based in New York City with 20+ years in art, design and creative direction. In 2007, Mr Frere launched PlanetFab Studio with his partner and acclaimed art director Michelle Keller, offering design and creative services to a large and diverse roster of private retail clients in the fashion and luxury space including Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Elie Tahari, to name a few. Studio services include Brand Development, Campaign Conception, Art Direction, Strategy, Websites and Digital Content Creation, Graphics, Identity, Typography, Packaging, Copywriting, and Photography.
Fabrice is also known for creating advertising campaigns and eye-catching key art in the entertainment industry, starting with the iconic King’s Speech poster in 2008. The film, produced on a small $15 million budget, was catapulted to Oscar-winning status, and went on to earn $480 million worldwide. Frere’s iconic poster supported the film with its strong conceptual approach and style.
Over the years, Fabrice has created campaigns and identities for W Hotels, Netflix, Canal+, Fox Searchlight, Saks Fifth Avenue, Richard James, Harrys of London, TWC , and many others.
Before working in advertising, Fabrice Frere had a successful career in magazine production — first at GQ Magazine and then at the helm of CITY Magazine, an award-winning national lifestyle publication headquartered in New York City above SoHo’s trendy Mercbar (in which he was a partner). He also created several custom publishing titles for various clients in real estate.
