Martijn Akkermans has six years of experience in Customer Success (CS). Martijn began their career in 2012 as a Sales Manager at Suitsupply. In 2014, they took on a role as a Research Consultant at Maastricht University. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Meltwater as a Customer Success Associate, Customer Success Manager, and Team Lead - Customer Success. Since 2019, they have been a Key Account Manager at Sitel Group. Most recently, in 2022, they began working at Planhat as an Account Executive. At Planhat, they are utilizing their CS experience to help promote their Customer Platform, which they believe is a game changer. The platform provides insights, manages workflow, and drives retention & expansion (NRR).
Martijn Akkermans attended Maastricht University from 2009 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Business. Martijn then returned to Maastricht University from 2014 to 2016, where they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business with a focus in Strategy & Innovation. In 2012 and 2013, they also attended Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations.
