Esperanza Mendez

Esperanza Mendez is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in community engagement and advocacy. Currently serving as a Communications Copywriter at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, Esperanza has previously held roles including Communications and Development Specialist at Alianza Coachella Valley, Outreach and Engagement Coordinator at Latinx Parenting, and Communications Specialist at Lift To Rise. Esperanza co-founded ¡Que Madre! Media Collective and contributed as a Multimedia Journalist at Univision Communications Inc., focusing on diverse topics including politics and immigration. Esperanza's early career in community relations at Planned Parenthood and as Project Coordinator at the Regional Access Project Foundation involved significant efforts in public health and educational equity initiatives. Esperanza holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from the University of California, Riverside.
