Alain Kouyate

Alain Kouyate has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alain co-founded SEJEN CI in 2018, where they provide business development and strategic technical support. In this role, Alain focuses on data science, advanced analytics, visualization, artificial intelligence, and big data. Alain aims to transform the African data ecosystem and reduce poverty through data-driven decisions.

In 2019, Alain joined Planned Systems International as the VP Solutions Delivery. Prior to that, they worked at Identity Guard® from 2014 to 2019 as the VP Solution Delivery. Here, they managed the software engineering department, with a focus on personal information security and cyber-security.

From 2012 to 2013, Alain was the Director of Software Development at MedRed LLC. Alain defined technology strategy, emphasizing user experience, mobile development, and web development, while managing small teams of software engineers.

Alain's experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at InfoZen from 2002 to 2012, and as a Managing Consultant at Headstrong in 2001. Alain also worked as an Adjunct Faculty for the Master of Information System Management program at Carnegie Mellon University from 1999 to 2002.

Before that, Alain was a Vice President/Solution Architect at Mellon Bank (now BNY Mellon) from 1998 to 2001. Alain played a pivotal role in developing mission-critical projects, including the bank's Global Trust Services and E-Commerce platforms.

Alain's career began in 1991 as a Project Leader at Alcoa, and as a Programmer at Faraday Corporation in 1989.

Alain Kouyate has a strong educational background in the field of technology. Alain completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Computer Based Information Systems from Howard University between 1984 and 1989. Alain later pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, Alain Kouyate has also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Based Information Systems from Howard University, although the specific dates for this degree are unknown.
