Arthur Yu

Scientist, Technical Management at Plant Health Care

Arthur Yu has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Arthur started their career in 2008 as a Research Assistant at the Department of Bioengineering at UW where they investigated hydration layers in biological and chemical surfaces. Their findings were published in the European Physical Journal. From 2009 to 2012, Arthur worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington. In this role, they directed and managed the development of biofunctional paper for diagnostic applications and presented their deliverables at various conferences and publications. From 2013 onwards, Arthur joined Plant Health Care, Inc. as an Associate Protein Scientist. Arthur completed experimental projects and developed the scientific foundation for PHC's liquid formulations. Arthur also trained new hires and presented results to the team and management. In 2015, they were promoted to Technical Services Manager, where they played a key role in product and project management, translating business strategy into technical specifications and managing quality improvement projects. In 2021, Arthur became a Scientist, Technical Management at Plant Health Care, Inc. where they continue to contribute to R&D and drive specifications.

Arthur Yu completed their education in Bioengineering at the University of Washington. Arthur earned a degree in Bioengineering, with a focus on Engineering, from 2007 to 2011. Arthur continued their studies in the same field, completing their education at the University of Washington from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, Arthur Yu obtained certifications as a Private Commercial Applicator in pesticide use from the Washington State Department of Agriculture in December 2015, and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2016.
