Brittany Lloyd

Brittany Lloyd, PhD, is a Polymer Research Manager at PLASKOLITE, a position held since November 2020, where prior experience includes roles as Research And Development Engineer. Before PLASKOLITE, Brittany worked as R&D Chemist II at Sherwin-Williams from June 2019 to November 2020, focusing on materials science research for packaging coatings. Academic experience encompasses a tenure at The University of Akron from August 2015 to June 2019 as Graduate Research Assistant in the Dr. Mark Soucek Research Group, contributing to the synthesis, modification, and formulation of coatings, alongside entrepreneurial leadership and mentorship roles. Additional research work was conducted at the University of Akron and Kent State University, focusing on polymer thin films and liquid crystals, respectively. Brittany earned a Ph.D. in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the University of Akron and a B.S. in Chemistry from Kent State University.
