José Manuel Pardo

José Manuel Pardo has been working in the finance and commercial operations field since 2014. José Manuel began their career as an Intern in the Department of Continuous Improvement at the Universidad Panamericana in 2014, followed by a role as Tax Assistant at RLH Asesores y Compañía, S.C. (RLH). In 2016, they became an Accountant at C&A Contadores y Abogados, and then a Budget and Expense Coordinator at the Universidad Panamericana in 2017. In 2020, they joined Play Business as their VP of Commercial Operations and Finance, where they focused on automating and growing exponentially and was part of the process with CNBV to regulate this fintech. José Manuel has led teams of 8 interns, 4 members, and 10-12 companies, and has managed 500+ million pesos fund. José Manuel has implemented controls in finance and operational issues, improved company’s profitability by analyzing its finances and business model, and made recommendations for reducing costs, generating more revenue, and improving financial reporting.

José Manuel Pardo obtained their Master's degree in Commercial Strategies from Universidad Panamericana in 2019, following their Especialidad in Commercial Strategies from the same institution in 2018. José Manuel also studied Accounting at Universidad Panamericana from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from ACIUM North and Central America, Molienda Sagrada, and Café 19 as an Inversionista Player, obtained in December 2022, December 2022, and June 2022, respectively.
