Poornima Ranchhod is an experienced professional specializing in therapeutic support for children, young people, and families. As the Director and Founder of Play Sense since February 2013, Poornima has provided play and creative therapy, focusing on attachment-based and trauma-informed practices, and served as a trained Lego Therapy facilitator. Previous roles include Youth Educator at RespectEd Aotearoa, where Poornima facilitated programs promoting healthy relationships, and Autism Communication and Behaviour Specialist at IHC New Zealand | IDEA Services, where support for individuals with autism was provided through tailored behavioral strategies and family education. Poornima holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from Liverpool Hope University and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from London Metropolitan University.
