Chris Perry has had a long and varied career in software engineering. Chris began their career in 1998 as an Associate Software Engineer at ICL Fujitsu, where they worked on a web content management platform for Windows NT Server / IIS / SQL Server. In 2001, they moved to Calm Corporation as a Software Developer. In 2002, they became Systems Architect at Ravenscliff Software, where they worked on full systems architecture for a start-up web development company. In 2004, they joined bet365 as a Software Developer, where they worked on .NET content management systems. Chris was later promoted to Software Development Technical Lead and then Software Development Heinz 57 - Core Systems, where they acted as the mostly-hands-off Technical Team Lead for a growing team of developers. In 2019, they became Self Employed, working on Yet Another Riak Component (YARC). Chris also worked as Senior Software Engineer at Actual Experience, where they acted as an Erlang and Riak KV performance consultant and development process consultant. In the same year, they also became Software Development Manager at Intouch Games Ltd, where they worked to improve overall team output quality and coach them in best practices. In 2020, they joined Consilience Ventures as a Senior Backend Developer, and in 2022 they joined Players' Lounge as their first permanent Elixir hire, acting as Principal / SME in Elixir and the Erlang VM.
Chris Perry attended The University of Manchester from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science, specializing in the field of Computer Science.
