Deanna Myers has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Educator at Catharsis Productions, where they facilitated discussions on interpersonal violence and intolerance. Deanna then joined the Actors Gymnasium Circus School and Theatre Company in 2015 as an Outreach Coordinator and Off-site Partner Liaison, managing partnerships with schools and arts organizations to bring physical theatre and circus training to students. In 2017, they transitioned to the entertainment industry as an Actor at Stewart Talent. In 2020, they briefly served as a Guest Lecturer at Northwestern University School of Communication. Additionally, they joined Playmakers Laboratory Theatre in 2012, where they held roles such as Interim Board President, Company Member, and Teaching Artist, collaborating with elementary school students to improve literacy skills through acting and storytelling. Currently, they are an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, starting in 2021.
Deanna Myers pursued their education at the University of Illinois System from 2006 to 2009. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Philosophy.
