Simonetta Ternent (née Giuricich)

Simonetta Ternent (née Giuricich) has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Simonetta is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Playroll since December 2021. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at VAT IT, including Chief Operating Officer from January 2020 to September 2020, Chief Operating Officer - Foreign Reclaim from October 2020 to December 2021, Operations Director: Global Processing from February 2018 to January 2020, Regional Director from May 2017 to January 2018, and Manager: Domestic VAT and Service Withholding Tax from September 2014 to April 2017. Before joining VAT IT, Simonetta worked briefly as a Senior Accountant at Incolabs in 2014. Simonetta also gained experience as a Market Analyst at TBS Group Spa from December 2013 to June 2014, where they conducted market research in the medical device and healthcare industry in South Africa and Africa. Simonetta started their career as a Senior Associate at PwC in January 2013 and later took on the role of Senior Accountant at PwC South Africa from 2010 to 2012.

Simonetta Ternent (née Giuricich) attended Brescia House School for their primary and secondary education. Simonetta then went on to the University of the Witwatersrand, where they obtained a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Higher Diploma in Accountancy) from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, they completed the Qualifying Exam Part 1 (QE: Board 1) from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). From 2011 to 2012, they pursued the Public Practice Examination (PPE: Board 2) at IRBA (Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors). In 2013, they attended the MIB School of Management, focusing on Entrepreneurship and International Business Development through the Origini 13 program.
