Dr. Vivian Lyon, DIT, MBA, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CEH, CHFI, CCSK, PMP has an extensive career in the field of cyber security and software engineering. Dr. Vivian Lyon, began their career in 1998 at Plaza Dynamics as the Chief Information Officer & Chief Information Security Officer (CIO & CISO). In this role, they managed security, implemented organizational cybersecurity strategies, oversaw IT/IS Risk Management, and more. Dr. Vivian Lyon, then took on the role of Director of Software Engineering, where they were responsible for all aspects of technology and development leadership for software products and systems. After that, they moved to Senior Software Engineering Manager and then Software Engineering Manager. In these roles, they monitored and managed financial budgets, provided overall technical direction, and created and established goals. Dr. Vivian Lyon, then moved to Senior Software Engineer, where they created software that ran on .NET platforms, and finally, Software Engineer, where they created custom software components and analytics applications.

In 2023, Dr. Lyon published their book, Cybersecurity Workforce Diversity: A Guide for Cyber Leaders. Dr. Vivian Lyon, also joined the Teaching Team at Harvard Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age and became an Exam Development Cybersecurity Expert at (ISC)2. In 2022, they became an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council, a Chartered Board Member of VigiTrust Global Advisory Board, a Harvard Business Review Advisory Council Member, a Fellow of The RSA, a Mentor for ISACA, and an Exam Item Writer for EC-Council.
