Manager, mechanical engineering at Plejd

Thea Svensson has an extensive work history, primarily in the field of mechanical engineering. In 2019, they joined Plejd as a Designer/Mechanical Engineer, later transitioning to the role of Manager, Mechanical Engineering in April 2021.

Prior to their time at Plejd, Thea worked at IKEA of Sweden from 2014 to 2019. During this period, they served as a Mechanical Design Engineer, specializing in mechanical and electrical design within lighting and homesmart products. Thea also gained expertise in using Windchill(PLUS) and Solidworks as a superuser.

Before entering the field of mechanical engineering, Thea gained retail experience as a Salesperson in the Exchange and Repurchase/Kassa department at IKEA Group from 2008 to 2012.

Thea Svensson began their education in 2005 at Haganäskolan, where they completed their gymnasieutbildning in Teknikprogramet in 2008. Thea then went on to attend Kungliga tekniska högskolan from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained their Civilingenjörsexamen in Produktdesign / Teknisk design. In 2012, Thea also participated in a Product Development Project (PDP) at Aalto Design Factory in Espoo, Finland.
