Alejandro Dearie has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field since 1996. Alejandro began as a Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Chemistry at Southwestern College in 1996, and then in the Department of Biology at Southwestern College in 1998. In 1999, they became a Research Volunteer at UC San Diego. From 2000 to 2004, they worked as a Research Assistant II in the Laboratory of Genetics Prof. Fred H. Gage at The Salk Institute, where their major focus was to study the role of Wnt signaling and interacting pathways in neurogenesis. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Research Associate at BrainCell, Inc. From 2011 to 2019, they worked as a Research Scientist Biology, Senior Research Associate II, Biology, and Senior Research Associate, Biology at Inception Sciences, Inc. Since 2019, they have been a Scientist at Plexium.
