Chris Rial

Chris Rial has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Chris is currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Plug Power since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Founding Partner and Board Member at Taproot Energy Partners starting from 2018.

Before joining Taproot Energy Partners, Chris worked at Joule Processing as the Vice President of Business Development from 2015 to 2022. At Joule Processing, they specialized in developing customized solutions for gas processing and liquids handling needs, benefiting the company's customers.

From 2010 to 2015, Chris worked at Energy Transfer as the Manager of Environmental Compliance and Projects. Chris was responsible for advising on environmental control design, managing environmental specialists, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple states.

Chris began their career at Texon in 2010 as a Safety and Environmental Specialist. After Texon was acquired by Sunoco Logistics, they administered and managed the safety and environmental program. Chris also gained experience in marine loading, blending optimization, and ticketing systems.

Prior to Texon, Chris was an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Chesapeake Energy from 2008 to 2010. Chris provided operational support for environmental compliance and implemented methods to improve the productivity of gas wells.

Chris started their career as an Environmental Professional at Terracon Consultants, Inc. from 2004 to 2008.

Chris Rial obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Bioenvironmental Science from Texas A&M University. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Global Energy from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business.
