Esben Lauge Sørensen

Esben Lauge Sørensen has an extensive work experience spanning several decades. Esben Lauge started their career at DTU - Technical University of Denmark and worked there as a PHD from February 1989 to October 1991. Following this, they joined Topsoe, where they held various roles. Esben Lauge started as a Process Engineer in 1991 and worked on project management, process development, and design, sales support and start-up supervision, and engineering experience with multiple commercial technologies. Esben Lauge then transitioned to become an R&D Syngas Specialist from an unknown date until July 2014, where they focused on researching and developing syngas technology. From August 2014 to July 2018, they served as a Senior Technology Specialist, providing technical support and sales promotion for syngas technology in Northern America. Esben Lauge then became a Technical Sales Director from August 2018 to October 2020, responsible for promoting Topsoe's syngas technology globally. Following that, they were promoted to Technology Onboarding Director from October 2020 to June 2022, where they were responsible for introducing and implementing novel technology solutions globally. Lastly, in July 2022, Esben Lauge Sørensen joined Plug Power as a Senior Director, a role they currently hold.

Esben Lauge Sørensen has a strong education background in the field of engineering and mathematics. Esben Lauge obtained their Matematisk Fysisk Studentereksamen (STX) from Marie Kruses skole in the years 1981 to 1984. Following this, they pursued higher studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they completed a degree in Kemiingeniør (Chemical Engineering), followed by an MSc and a PhD in an unspecified field of study.
