Jason Castro

Jason Castro has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Jason is currently working as a Process Engineer at Plug Power, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Phillips-Medisize as a Manufacturing Engineer from July 2019 to August 2021. In this role, they participated in preproduction activities, implemented autonomous mobile robots, and worked to meet customer expectations. Before that, Jason worked at Bemis Company, Inc. as a Senior Capstone Project participant, where they developed a mechanism to reduce setup waste. Jason also gained experience as a Production Associate at Renewal by Andersen from May 2017 to August 2018, implementing lean systems and 5S concepts. Additionally, Jason had a recurring summer job as an Umpire at Pro-Am Umpires from April 2010 to June 2018, where they officiated prestigious events. Jason also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University for a brief period in 2018, implementing 5S concepts and creating a new data gathering process.

Jason Castro earned their Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, where they attended from 2015 to 2019.
