Luana Souza MacEdo

Luana Souza Macedo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Luana is currently employed as an Application Engineer at Plug Power since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Sales Engineer at Frames starting from October 2019. Luana also has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University & Research from May 2019 to October 2019.

Luana's earlier work experience includes an internship at Chemtech, where they were responsible for a variety of tasks such as working on basic and detailed project documents, leading a team, and communicating with management. Luana worked at Chemtech from February 2010 to January 2012.

Before their internship at Chemtech, Luana was an intern researcher at UFBA - Federal University of Bahia. In this role, they were involved in a biodiesel production project, which included synthesizing catalysts, performing reactions, and analyzing lab data. Luana also gained experience in presentation skills by delivering oral and poster presentations at conferences. Luana worked at UFBA from August 2008 to July 2010.

Luana Souza Macedo's education history began in 2007 when they completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal da Bahia. Luana then pursued their Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they attended Wageningen University & Research and Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro simultaneously from 2014 to 2018 to obtain their dual Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering.
