Melissa Baker

Melissa Baker has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Melissa most recently worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Plug Power starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at DSM as a Process Engineer from September 2020 to November 2022. Melissa'slongest tenure was at Corning Incorporated, where they held various roles including Senior Process Engineer. During their time at Corning, Melissa developed process setups for new compositions and product thicknesses, identified and implemented new technologies to improve production setups, and led troubleshooting efforts for process upsets and performance improvements on production lines across multiple countries. Melissa also supported new product developments, led equipment trials, and proposed equipment material changes that resulted in significant cost savings and defect mitigations. Melissa has presented technical findings and process improvements to various teams and managed projects with substantial budgets.

Melissa Baker obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. Melissa then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, which they completed between 2020 and 2023.
