Deborah Buresh Jackson has had a diverse work experience across different industries. Deborah founded Plum Alley Investments in 2011 and has been serving as Founder, CEO, and General Partner. Deborah has been involved in investing in frontier technologies and medical breakthroughs for over a decade. Additionally, Deborah Buresh Jackson founded Women Innovate Mobile in 2011, which was the first startup accelerator for women and gender diverse teams building mobile technology. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked at Shattuck Hammond Partners as a Senior Vice President from 1995 to 2001. Earlier in their career, they were employed at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking division from 1980 to 1990.

Deborah Buresh Jackson pursued their higher education at the Columbia Graduate School of Business from 1979 to 1980, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. During their time at the school, they had a dual major in Finance and Non-Profit/Social Enterprise.
