Pierre Vanacker

Pierre Vanacker has been working in the field of data engineering since 2010. Pierre started their career as a software/data engineer intern at Groupe Jouve, followed by a junior software/data engineer role at Thales Services. In 2013, they joined Jouve as a software (search engine) engineer and worked on a revamp of the trademark search engine for the National trademark institute. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a data engineer at Oscaro.com. In 2020, they joined ManoMano as a lead data engineer and was responsible for revamping the data platform, automating deployment and monitoring of the Airflow-based data platform, and boosting the pipelines from daily ingestions to hourly and up to real-time. Pierre also managed and grew a team of 5 to 10+ people, and handled project and demand priorities. In 2021, they moved to Sicara as a principal data engineer/solutions architect. Pierre is currently working as a senior data engineer at Plum since 2022.

Pierre Vanacker obtained a Master II in Information Technologies and Software Engineering from the Universit\u00e9 de Bretagne Occidentale between 2007 and 2013. In 2011, they also obtained a CLES B2 in English from the same university.
