Taavet Hinrikus

Taavet Hinrikus is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently a Partner at Plural since August 2021, Hinrikus focuses on supporting ambitious founders to drive significant economic impact in Europe. In September 2020, Hinrikus co-founded Certific, which aims to provide affordable and accessible certified medical diagnostics. Active in angel investing since 2008, Hinrikus has been involved with Taavet + Sten since July 2017, assisting founders in achieving their goals. Previously, Hinrikus served as the Chairman and CEO at Wise from March 2010 to December 2021, where the company revolutionized foreign currency transfers. Early career roles include Director of Strategy at Skype, where Hinrikus was the first employee, Product Manager at Joltid, Project Manager at Equitygate.com, and Senior Engineer at Halo Interactive DDB. Hinrikus holds an MBA in General Management from INSEAD and attended TalTech for Computer Science.
