Gilberto Bailey

Gilberto Bailey has a strong background in robotics engineering and systems engineering. Gilberto is currently working as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Plus One Robotics since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Otto Environmental Systems North America, Inc. from January 2017 to March 2022 as a Robotics Engineer. In this role, they automated processes with robots, programmed robots, created interfaces with external devices, ensured safety zones and general safety, and provided technical support to technicians. During their time at Otto Environmental Systems, they successfully minimized robot downtime and eliminated external robotic service expenses.

Before joining Otto Environmental Systems, Gilberto worked at Yaskawa Motoman from July 2012 to January 2017 as a Service Application Engineer. In this position, they provided technical support to customers, performed programming, cell installations, and integrations, conducted seminars, and operated Yaskawa industrial robots of different generations. Gilberto also programmed and integrated workcells for various applications such as arc welding, handling, spot, and plasma cutting.

Prior to their role as a Service Application Engineer, Gilberto worked as a Field Service Engineer at Yaskawa Motoman in 2011.

Gilberto Bailey attended the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Automation. In addition to their formal education, Gilberto has also pursued additional certifications in SERVO-ROBOT Vision Systems from SERVO-ROBOT Inc., FRONIUS WELDING from Fronius USA, and LINCOLN ELECTRIC WELDING from Lincoln Electric.
