John R. Garner has a diverse work experience in the IT field. John R. started their career in 1997 as a Systems Architect and Developer, where they led the development of a Secure LDAP/X.500 Directory Server. John R. then worked as a Storage/Systems Engineer at IN/Architects/GAIN Systems Inc., where they developed and installed storage, network, and server solutions for National Guard customers.
From 2001 to 2003, John worked as a Storage/Systems Engineer at SAIC/Innovative Solutions, where they supported the National Guard Bureau's Distributive Training Technology Program and implemented backup and recovery solutions for commercial customers.
In 2003, they joined DIA as a Storage Engineer and eventually led the DIA Storage team in the engineering and deployment of EMC storage solutions, as well as backup and recovery solutions. John R. also supported DODIIS Disaster Recovery and COOP programs.
John then worked at FCN as a System/Storage Engineer, where they supported the delivery of server and storage solutions to US government clients.
From 2007 to 2014, they worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency, first as a Systems/Storage Engineer, responsible for developing the DoDIIS Enterprise Storage strategy and deploying storage infrastructure. John R. later became the IC DTE Joint Engineering Team Lead, leading multi-agency engineering teams in developing solutions to support the Intelligence Community Desktop Enterprise.
In 2014, John joined Axiologic Solutions LLC as a Project Manager, where they managed projects until 2015.
Currently, they hold roles at Plus3 IT Systems as a Senior Cloud Engineer and a Cloud/Data Engineer, where they apply their expertise in cloud and data engineering.
John R. Garner earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland from 1982 to 1986.
