Barry Downes

Barry Downes is the Co-Founder & Director at Pluto Digital. Barry has over 25 years of experience in the field of technology and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Barry started their career at Smarttech247, where they worked for two years before moving to Pluto Digital. Barry then spent four years at Virtex, before moving to Volograms. Barry then spent two years at Buymie, before moving to Getvisibility.

After a brief stint at the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), Barry moved to Ambisense, where they spent four years. Barry then spent two years at Sure Valley Ventures, before moving to their current position at Pluto Digital.

Barry Downes' educational career includes a Venture Capital Executive Programme from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Program on Negotiation from Harvard Law School, and an Advanced Management Programme from Henley Business School. Barry also has an M.B.A. in Masters in Business Administration from University College Dublin and a BSc in Applied Computing in Computer Science from Waterford Institute of Technology. Barry is also a Certified Investment Fund Director from IOB.
