Matteo Maccario has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Matteo is the Founder & CEO of Pluvo since November 2018. In 2019, they worked as a CoLab Circular Economy Fellow at IDEO. Prior to that, Matteo was a Schmidt MacArthur Fellow at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation from February 2017 to August 2018. During 2016, they worked as a SR&ED and Lean Six Sigma Consultant as well as participated in the Climate-KIC summer program as a Journey Participant. Before that, Matteo held various roles at ABS Machining from 2011 to 2015, including Program Manager, Process Planner, Engineering Coordinator, and Document Control Coordinator. Matteo also worked as a Market Research Analyst at Silfab Solar Inc. in 2011 and as a Feeder Inspection Services (FIS) Group Member at Kinectrics in 2010. In 2009, they were involved in Equipment Qualification at Kinectrics, and in 2007, they worked as a Comp Tech Europe - Assembly & Quality Control at Testori Interiors Inc.
Matteo Maccario has a diverse education history. Matteo completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Design Engineering with a focus on Innovation Design Engineering at Imperial College London from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they earned a Master of Art (MA) in Design with a specialization in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art during the same time period.
Earlier in their academic journey, Matteo attended the University of Toronto from 2014 to 2015, where they pursued further education in Lean Six Sigma through the School of Continuing Studies. Matteo also completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering from Western University between 2007 and 2011.
